These are just a few words that I want to be - that I strive to be since I was small girl with my plastic headbands and jean skirts - I can't believe that was the fashion back then! My HOSA story doesn't begin like many others do, I was never really introverted nor scared of the stage, always kept a positive perspective on life - and live life to the fullest!
I began HOSA when I was a senior in high school and thought that this would be a fantastic opportunity to start my medical career - I walked in and fell in love with my John Muir Health Chapter. I lived for the social events and became the Committee Chairperson of the Social Committee in my very first year! The next year I became the Vice-President, and in my 3rd year of HOSA I became the President - that very same year I ran for state officer and got voted and slated into the Vice- President of Membership in the Executive Council position - and I am absolutely THRILLED. I am so grateful and honored to be in this position! I can help so many people achieve their goals!
That is my dream, what I was born to do - to help others. I love when anyone gets that sparkle in their eye, a smile on their face, and that feeling of success or accomplishment - I love when I can help (even if it is just a little bit) a person or a group of people to accomplish anything - a test, a competition, getting them coffee - and I strive to help anyone and everyone at anytime!
Besides helping others, I love to get to know people! I love hearing HOSA stories but I love hearing your personal story even more! What makes you tick, your issues in your life, what your favorite food is - I love to get to know YOU, not your resume or job, but YOU!
